Our 2 rail mortised post and rail fence, made from sustainable wood, is a popular choice for residential settings with clean-cut, modern lines. It's also used widely in rural settings where clients have a view that they don't want to compromise.
It's stock safe for miniature breeds and sheep but we would recommend using hot wires for additional containment.
The options for use are endless and our inspiration page provides ideas using larger posts for ends and corners and junctions to mark the start, finish and change of direction - this results in a very smart-looking post and rail fence.

Rails are available in a range of lengths - standard is 2.4m long.
This length is great all-rounder; proportionately divides bays of fencing, convenient rail length for milling processes, reduces the risks or warping, cracks or twisting. Some cupping of hardwood rails is normal and acceptable as it won’t weaken the fence nor compromise the look.

Our post and rail fences are constructed from durable Australian Hardwoods, including Cypress & Ironbark. As a time-tested fence material, they are incredibly durable and long-lasting.
Victorian Cypress Macrocarpa is available as an economical option, and we highly recommend bitumen coating the in-ground portion to prevent early rot setting in.
