All Strukta posts come pre-mortised, and configured to suit your property
Mortises are cut with a purpose-built CNC machine
All mortises have clean, square cuts and are uniform in size
Mortise holes go right through the posts, ensuring rails are held securely and won’t fall out
There is no need for onsite cutting of holes with a chainsaw which is dangerous and creates uneven mortises
NB: The mortise is the hole through the post that the rail slides into.
Professionally mortised
Our post and rail fencing is available ‘dressed’ (machined smooth on all four sides, with a small chamfer on the edges) and pre-oiled.
Dressed timber is smooth to the touch, meaning no splinters.
Pre-oiled timber has the first coat of oil mechanically applied by an oiling machine which covers every part of the timber. The oil soaks deep into the timber and helps protect it from the elements as soon as it is installed. Maintenance oil coats are always recommended to help protect the timber for years.
If opting for dressed timber, we highly recommend pre-oiling as well. Dressed timber left un-oiled is more vulnerable to the elements.

All of our post and rail fencing is available as D.I.Y. kits. Your D.I.Y. kit will be shipped wrapped in protective plastic wrapping, and we’ll work with you to find the best freight solution depending on what, where, forklift etc.

Our post and rail fence kits are a simple, effective way to add both style and structure to your property. Designed for flexibility and ease of installation, these timber kits suit a wide range of applications—from homes, paddocks, and animal enclosures to subdivisions, parks, and commercial landscapes.
Using precision CNC machinery, we pre-cut mortises into each post with just the right amount of tolerance. This allows your fence to follow curves, rise over hills, dip through gullies, and adapt to angles—ideal for uneven terrain or directional changes.
We offer different mortise configurations to suit your layout, including:
Through mortises – for straight runs and intersections
Halfway mortises – for gate posts, ends and corners
45° angle mortises – for angled transitions and setbacks
Custom junction posts – for junctions between different fencing ie: 3 rail fencing with a 2 rail fence teeing off the main fence
Rails simply butt together inside the post with no fixings required, making installation clean and efficient.
