Horse Fencing

At Strukta, our timber horse fencing is built for arenas, paddocks and holding yards at equine properties and rural land where safety, visibility and presentation all matter. We supply Hardwood post-and-rail fencing to suit the demands of a working horse property. Alongside DIY post-and-rail fencing kits, we can also project manage installation or recommend a trusted installer in most Australian states.

Whether you are fencing a single boundary, a full property, or a horse arena, our fencing is built to hold up and look good while doing so. We supply Australia-wide and are happy to help you work out the right configuration for your property.

Our Range of Horse and Paddock Fencing

We offer a range of post-and-rail configurations suited to horse properties of different sizes and layouts. Most common applications include:

Post and Rail Horse Fencing

Post-and-rail is the most popular choice for horse paddock fencing. Our Tall 3-rail and 4-rail configurations provide a solid, visible boundary for horses. All posts come pre-mortised, so rails slot in cleanly without on-site cutting.

Post and Wire Horse Fencing

A practical option for longer boundary runs. Post and wire provides boundary definition and can be combined with post-and-rail near gates and high-traffic areas. Hardwood posts and rails supplied. Wire sourced separately. Ask us for supplier recommendations.

Custom Equine Fencing

Rail numbers, post spacing and configuration can all be adjusted to suit your property. If you have a specific paddock layout or containment requirement in mind, get in touch, and we will work through the options with you.

Benefits of Timber Horse Fencing

  • Visibility: Open rail construction provides horses with a clear visual boundary, supporting safe containment.

  • Durability: Hardwood performs well outdoors over many years and won’t snap if it gets a hard knock.

  • Appearance: Timber post-and-rail fencing suits rural and equine properties and ages well in the landscape.

  • Adaptability: Rail numbers, post spacing and configuration can be adjusted to suit your paddock and stock.

  • Compatibility: Our fencing pairs naturally with our timber gates, keeping the property entrance consistent.

Professionally Mortised

All Strukta posts come pre-mortised using a purpose-built CNC machine, producing clean, square cuts that are uniform in size. Mortise holes run the full length of the post, so the rails are held securely. There is no need for on-site cutting: rails simply slot into the posts, making installation straightforward and the finished result consistent.

Available Pre-Dressed and Pre-Oiled

Our horse fencing is available dressed and pre-oiled. Dressed timber is machined smooth on all four sides with no splinters. Pre-oiled timber has the first coat applied mechanically before leaving our workshop, giving the fence protection from the elements from day one. To keep the timber in good shape, we recommend reapplying a quality penetrating oil periodically.

See our timber coatings range for more on our recommendations.

From Small Paddocks to Large Rural Properties

We supply horse property/paddock fencing for properties of all sizes, from small hobby farms through to larger equine and rural properties. Our post-and-rail fencing is available in a range of configurations to suit different layouts and budgets.
